ABOUT VANDEYK

VANDEYK Contemporary Cycles is a creative designhouse for handbuilt bicycles.
An elaborately curated collaboration of experts in fields as diverse as design,
art, handmade bicycle frame building and photography - aspiring to
built perfectly functional art objects on two wheels.
The bicyles are immaculately handcrafted in the smallest detail and strictly
limited. Working with the approach of a creative platform, future collections
will include further inspiring cooperations and influences.

Founder

Bicycle expert and former racer. Head of Digital Brand Communication
for a major premium car manufacturer in his other profession.
Confronted with a massive bicycle addiction since his young days.

Bernd Kammerer

Photographer

Magic photographer in the areas people, automotive and fashion.
Worked for brands as Maserati, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and leading
lifestyle/design magazines. Also known as „Burned Camera”.
Modern cowboy and melody speaker for a funky music combo.

Michael Matthiass

Writer

Author and writer. Worked as award-winning creative director
for top-notch agencies as Jung von Matt and DDB.
Eating, uhm, fish for breakfast.

Harry Seifert

Artist

Artist in design, illustration and fine arts. Creative partner
of a crossmedia design studio. Member of an experimental
sound studio in genres as cyberdelic-electro-fusion.

Georg Blaschke

Framebuilder and Engineer

The technology brain. 20 years experience in handmade bicycle
frame building. Former senior engineer for SRAM. Can weld with
left and right hand — just to assure perfection in the very last detail.

Holger Grünwald

Brand Design

Creative director in design and interactive. Designed for brands as Leica,
Maybach, Swarowski and Coca Cola. Lives design round-the-clock,
except these video gaming brakes…

Ralph Jahns

Marketing & Relations

Supporting VANDEYK in the relations area.
Worked for brands as Porsche, Hugo Boss
and Lamborghini. Multi-connected party host.

Artful hands

VANDEYK trusts a man’s hand more than anything else, just as well as in a
gentleman’s agreement. That’s why the VANDEYK bicycle frames are devotedly handcrafted
by the best framebuilders in the industry. The NIGHTSTREAM collection is personally manufactured
by the VANDEYK head of engineering and framebuilding, Georg Blaschke who ranks among the best
framebuilders in Europe. Besides having 20 years of experience in the handmade process,
Georg has also been senior engineer at SRAM with a proven track record as an exceptionally
gifted technology brain.
